<strong>DCE</strong> – the Danish Centre <strong>for</strong> Environment and Energy, Aarhus University,<br />

which is responsible <strong>for</strong> the emission inventory, has established data agreements<br />

with the institutes and organisations to assure that the necessary data<br />

is available <strong>for</strong> timely completion of the emission inventory. The main part<br />

of the emission is related to livestock production and much of the data is<br />

based on Danish standards. DCA, Aarhus University delivers Danish standards<br />

relating to feeding consumption, manure type in different housing<br />

types, nitr<strong>og</strong>en content in manure, etc. Previously, the standards were updated<br />

and published every third or fourth year – the last one is Poulsen et al.<br />

from 2001. From year 2001, <strong>DCE</strong> receives updated data annually directly<br />

from DCA in the <strong>for</strong>m of spreadsheets. These standards have been described<br />

and published in English in Poulsen & Kristensen (1998).<br />
