Fuel consumption time series <strong>for</strong> the subcategories to stationary combustion<br />

are shown in Figure 3.5 – 3.7.<br />

Fuel consumption <strong>for</strong> (QHUJ\ ,QGXVWULHV fluctuates due to electricity trade as<br />

discussed above. The fuel consumption in 2010 was 21 % higher than in<br />

1990. The fluctuation in electricity production is based on fossil fuel consumption<br />

in the subcategory (OHFWULFLW\ DQG +HDW 3URGXFWLRQ. The energy consumption<br />

in 2WKHU HQHUJ\ LQGXVWULHV is mainly natural gas used in gas turbines<br />

in the off-shore industry. The biomass fuel consumption in (QHUJ\ ,QGXVWULHV<br />

2010 added up to 75 PJ, which is 4.9 times the level in 1990 and a 31 % increase<br />

since 2009.<br />

The fuel consumption in ,QGXVWU\ was 12 % lower in 2010 than in 1990 (Figure<br />

3.6). The fuel consumption in industrial plants has decreased considerably<br />

as a result of the financial crisis. However, the fuel consumption has in-<br />
