Payment Plans<br />

Some graduate program <strong>of</strong>fices <strong>of</strong>fer payment plan options. Please check your program’s Web site<br />

for details. In addition, NSU <strong>of</strong>fers the following plans:<br />

• 3-Month and 10-Month Payment Plans<br />

NSU students (with the exception <strong>of</strong> international students) who wish to defer payment <strong>of</strong><br />

their tuition, fees, and other institutional charges due at the time <strong>of</strong> registration may sign up<br />

for a 3-month or a 10-month payment plan. The 10-Month Payment Plan is available for<br />

the fall and winter semesters combined only. For details, visit www.nova.edu/bursar/payment/<br />

• Employer Tuition Assistance Plans<br />

Undergraduate students participating in employer tuition assistance programs who wish to defer<br />

tuition payment need to submit a letter <strong>of</strong> eligibility, a purchase order from their employer, or<br />

details <strong>of</strong> the program from the employer’s human resources <strong>of</strong>fice or the company Web site. They<br />

must also provide postdated payments (checks or credit card authorizations) for the amount <strong>of</strong><br />

tuition. Payment <strong>of</strong> tuition only (not fees), may then be deferred for five weeks after course<br />

completion. A $75 deferment fee is charged for this service and must be paid at registration,<br />

along with all other fees. <strong>Student</strong>s must notify the Office <strong>of</strong> <strong>Student</strong> Financial Assistance if they<br />

are participating in the Employer Tuition Assistance Plan. Graduate students should inquire with<br />

their program <strong>of</strong>fice regarding any employer tuition assistance deferment plans.<br />

• Florida Prepaid <strong>College</strong> Plan<br />

NSU accepts and bills the Florida Prepaid <strong>College</strong> Plan for tuition, fees, and on-campus housing<br />

costs. The plans are based on the tuition rates <strong>of</strong> the tax-assisted Florida public colleges and<br />

universities. The difference between NSU tuition, fees, and on-campus housing costs and the<br />

allocations through the Florida Prepaid <strong>College</strong> Plan is the sole responsibility <strong>of</strong> the student.<br />

If a student is on the unrestricted plan, the student must designate a dollar amount for up to<br />

the cost <strong>of</strong> tuition and fees. <strong>Student</strong>s new to NSU must contact Florida Prepaid at 800-552-<br />

GRAD to authorize NSU for payment. Additionally, each semester, the student must submit<br />

a copy <strong>of</strong> the front and back <strong>of</strong> the ID card with a signed statement indicating the number <strong>of</strong><br />

credits or the amount to be invoiced. To learn more about the Florida Prepaid <strong>College</strong> Plan,<br />

The Office <strong>of</strong> the University Registrar<br />

The University Registrar’s Office <strong>of</strong>fers a variety <strong>of</strong> services to the university community. These<br />

services include, but are not limited to, course registration, transcript processing, name and address<br />

change, loan deferment, enrollment and degree verification, grade processing, commencement, degree<br />

conferral, transfer <strong>of</strong> credit services, and general university information. Additional information is<br />

Transcript Requests<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s may view a complete academic history, print out an un<strong>of</strong>ficial transcript, and request an<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficial transcript via the <strong>Student</strong> tab in SharkLink. In addition, a Transcript Request Form can<br />

be completed and submitted in person at the One-Stop Shop, where the <strong>of</strong>ficial transcript may be<br />

printed immediately. There is a $10 fee per <strong>of</strong>ficial transcript, effective July 1, 2011.<br />
