• What does it mean for full register dump?
1. LAW registers
2. PCIe controller memory-mapped registers (CCSRBAR + PCIe Controller
block offset + offset: 0x000 – 0xFFF) – Please don’t SKIP reserved space!
3. PCIe controller configuration space from 0x000 to 0xFFF – Don’t skip!
4. Complete global utilities register space (CCSRBAR + offset: 0xE_0000 –
0xE_0FFF) - Please don’t SKIP reserved space!
• Important note about the dumping procedure
– Have to collect two sets of register dump:
One set before launching the test on the failing system (preferred way) or on the similar working
system, and
One set immediately after the failure occurs on the failing system
– For each register dump session, read all the registers back continuously until
you are done!
This is especially important for PCIe memory-mapped and configuration space registers, since the
error status might change if they are dumped at different times!
