June nth. Miss Louisa Pyne, Mr. W. Harrison, Mr.<br />

and Mrs. Weiss, and Mr. H. Corn appeared in English<br />

Opera. This was Miss Pyne's debut in Dublin.<br />

October i4th. Mrs. Wood appeared in the Rotundo<br />

(Concerts). Mrs. Wood had previously abandoned the<br />

profession and retired to a convent in Yorkshire, but tired<br />

of the seclusion, she left, and resumed her profession.<br />

December lyth. Madame Anna Thillon appeared.<br />

Madame Thillon (a very beautiful and accomplished French<br />

vocalist) gave a most successful entertainment, in which<br />

she was assisted by Mr. Hudson, a former favourite actor<br />

in the Stock Company, who afterwards adopted Irish<br />

characters with success, but the recollection of Power<br />

lessened his chance. During his performance<br />

O'More" (in which Power excelled), one evening a<br />

voice from the gallery called out " Very fair, Hudson, and<br />

more Power to you !"<br />

June 4th. Mrs. Harris took her farewell benefit at the<br />

Queen's Theatre, Mr. Harris ceasing to be lessee.<br />

" All<br />

that Glitters is not Gold " was given for the first time in<br />

Dublin. Mrs. Harris appearing as Martha Gibbs.<br />

June 1 4th. Mr. Harris's benefit at the Queen's, and<br />

last night of his Lesseeship.<br />

" Time Tries all," and the<br />

farce of " Apartments " were performed.
