Summary<br />
This Masterplan identifies the facilities that are planned for development at <strong>and</strong> near the Recreation Reserve. The facilities include:<br />
• A trail along the transmission easement<br />
• A regional playground<br />
• A trail through the adjoining Link Reserve<br />
• 2 outdoor netball courts <strong>and</strong> pavilion<br />
• 2 senior size ovals, pavilion <strong>and</strong> outdoor social space<br />
• 3 cricket practice nets<br />
• Major sports centre including gymnasium , multiuse rooms <strong>and</strong> ancillary facilities<br />
• 6 tennis courts <strong>and</strong> pavilion<br />
• 2 additional bowling greens <strong>and</strong> pavilion at the RSL club<br />
• Carparking - playground (63 spaces), ovals (660), sports centre (166), tennis facility (40)<br />
This Plan outlines Council’s objectives for improving the health <strong>and</strong> well-being of the Whittlesea community. Some of the objectives have relevance for the<br />
development of Wollert <strong>and</strong> Quarry Hills. These are – fostering community connectedness, ensuring the provision of appropriate facilities <strong>and</strong> infrastructure that<br />
support health <strong>and</strong> well-being <strong>and</strong> creating walkable <strong>and</strong> liveable communities.<br />
This Document outlines Council’s indicative Council works budget for the next decade. The Budget contains a list of works relating to existing <strong>and</strong> proposed facilities in<br />
the Whittlesea <strong>Growth</strong> Sub-Region. Many of these facilities will serve local catchments areas in Mernda – Doreen <strong>and</strong> Epping North. Others have larger catchments<br />
<strong>and</strong> may have the capacity to cater for the Quarry Hills <strong>and</strong> Wollert Communities. These facilities <strong>and</strong> works include:<br />
