<strong>Assessment</strong> Recommendation<br />

District park 1 2 2 2 7 7 7 3 district parks are required in Wollert <strong>and</strong> Quarry Hills. The<br />

Quarry Hills Bushl<strong>and</strong> Park will meet the district park needs<br />

of the Quarry Hills community. The needs of the Wollert<br />

community should be met by providing a passive reserve<br />

<strong>and</strong> integrating some passive space with the higher st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />

active reserve.<br />

Education<br />

Catholic secondary school 0.1 0.6 0.8 1.0 1.8 2.0 2.2 No catholic secondary college is planned for Epping North.<br />

Dem<strong>and</strong> from Epping North is to be met by existing schools<br />

– Mary Mede, St Monica’s <strong>and</strong> Parade College.<br />

Government secondary<br />

school<br />

The Catholic Education Office advises that a secondary<br />

college is proposed for Wollert. This facility will cater for<br />

students from Wollert, Quarry Hills <strong>and</strong> Epping North.<br />

0.2 1.0 1.3 1.6 3.0 3.3 3.6 2 government secondary schools are planned for Epping<br />

North. Edgar Creek P12 in EN Precinct 3 <strong>and</strong> Craigieburn<br />

East Rd P-12 in EN Precinct 5. Both are close to Wollert<br />

<strong>and</strong> could potentially cater for some of the early dem<strong>and</strong><br />

from Wollert.<br />

1.2-1.8 schools will be required to cater for Wollert <strong>and</strong><br />

Quarry Hills. Provision should be made for 1-2 schools in<br />

Wollert<br />
