• for a 4.1 BSD UNIX system, include this line in the /etc/syslog.conf file<br />

local7.debugging /var/log/force10.log<br />

• for a 5.7 SunOS UNIX system, include this line in the /etc/syslog.conf file<br />

local7.debugging /var/adm/force10.log<br />

In the lines above, local7 is the logging facility and debugging is the Syslog level. Therefore the Syslog<br />

daemon sends all messages since debugging is the lowest Syslog level. Refer to the logging facility and<br />

logging host command descriptions, above, for more information on those keywords and on setting the<br />

output from the switch.<br />

To view the logging configuration, use the show logging hosts unit command in the EXEC privilege<br />

mode (see Figure 58 on page 98).<br />
