<strong>Hofstra</strong> In The NBA<br />
Loren Stokes<br />
The Pride currently has one player active in the NBA in Charles Jenkins. Craig “Speedy” Claxton enjoyed<br />
a decade-long NBA Career and is now a scout for the Golden State Warriors. Other recent graduates –<br />
Antoine Agudio, Loren Stokes, Norman Richardson and Rick Apodaca – have also pursued NBA careers.<br />
Agudio played in the NBDL last season and was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks summer league squad.<br />
Stokes was invited to play on the Orlando Magic’s summer league team in 2007, Richardson has played<br />
for the Indianapolis Pacers and Chicago Bulls and was invited to the Portland Trail Blazers camp in 2003<br />
and the Toronto Raptors camp in 2004. Apodaca was in the Orlando Magic’s camp in 2003 and also played<br />
in the NDBL. Four other <strong>Hofstra</strong> alumni – Nathan Militzok, Bill Thieben, Rich Laurel and John Irving –<br />
also played in the NBA. Former <strong>Hofstra</strong> Coach Butch van Breda Kolff also made a mark in the NBA, both<br />
