The <strong>Hofstra</strong> University Office of Athletic Communications<br />

Men’s <strong>Basketball</strong> during the <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong> season. If we can be of<br />

any assistance to you throughout the year, please do not hesitate<br />

to contact us. We hope the following items will help you during<br />

your visits to <strong>Hofstra</strong> University.<br />

Press Room: Members of the media can pick up their pregame<br />

and postgame information in the press room, located in the<br />

southwest end of the Mack Sports Complex.<br />

Game Services: <strong>Media</strong> members are asked to pick up their<br />

game information packages (media guides, programs, notes) in<br />

the press room prior to the start of the game. A <strong>com</strong>plete NCAA<br />

box score will be distributed at halftime. Complete game<br />

statistical books will be available 15 minutes after the game.<br />

Radio Broadcasts: The <strong>Hofstra</strong> Office of Athletic<br />

Communications will have touch-tone digital phone lines<br />

available for the opponent’s radio stations. Visiting radio<br />

stations will need to give the <strong>Hofstra</strong> OAC two weeks notice<br />

of their intention to broadcast. There will be a $75.00 charge<br />

for visiting stations to offset the cost of installation and<br />

maintenance of the line. ISDN lines are available for rental at<br />

$300.00 per event. All calls must be made collect or direct-dial<br />

from the radio station to the Mack Sports Complex.<br />

Interview Policy: <strong>Hofstra</strong> coaches and players will be available<br />

after all contests. Interview requests on non-game days should<br />

be directed through the <strong>Hofstra</strong> OAC. Interviews on game days<br />

will be limited to postgame only. Player home phone numbers<br />

will not be distributed.<br />

Telephones/Fax Machine: Telephones will be available along<br />

press row for working media. A fax machine will be available<br />

upon request.<br />

Press Credentials: Members of the media should request<br />

credentials from the Office of Athletic Communications at least<br />

24 hours prior to each game. These credentials will be left at<br />

the Will Call/Press window at the box office on the north side<br />

of the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. <strong>Media</strong><br />

parking is available in the lot directly across from the entrance<br />

to the Mack Sports Complex.<br />

Photo Passes: Photography credentials will be issued to<br />

certified photographers of daily newspapers, magazines and<br />

television stations. Credentials will not be granted to freelance<br />

photographers. All shooting must be done from the ends of the<br />

court. Flashes will not be permitted.<br />
