Strength and Conditioning
The main focus of the strength and conditioning program
is to give each student-athlete an opportunity to perform at
the highest level throughout his or her collegiate career. To
achieve this, athletes need to prepare both in the physical
and mental aspects of their sport. The physical aspect is
accomplished through strength training, conditioning,
flexibility,
explosiveness,
nutrition, agility
drills and speed
training. These
aspects of strength
and conditioning
not only help the
athletes perform
at their highest
level, but also help
through preventing
injuries, which
in return will
allow the athletes
to remain on the
competitive playing
field. The mental
aspects of strength
and conditioning are
accomplished through
accountability, hard
work, focus and
determination. Each
of these aspects
will be focused
on through an
individualized yearround
program.
