GENETIC COUNSELING
Isolated preauricular ear tags and pits are often
inherited in an autosomal dominant fashion with
an increased risk for other family members. In
cases of ear anomalies in infants with identified
genetic disorders, the recurrence risk would
depend on the mode of inheritance of the specific
disorder.
