Oi—0 to 2 inches; slightly decomposed leaves and<br />

twigs.<br />

A—2 to 10 inches; dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2)<br />

gravelly sandy loam, very dark grayish brown<br />

(10YR 3/2) moist; weak very fine and fine<br />

granular structure; s<strong>of</strong>t, very friable, nonsticky,<br />

nonplastic; common very fine and fine roots;<br />

many very fine and fine pores; 20 percent gravel;<br />

10 percent cobbles; neutral (pH 7.2); clear<br />

smooth boundary.<br />

C1—10 to 26 inches; grayish brown (10YR 5/2) very<br />
