What Immunotherapy Is Not • Not administered through non-injectable routes – Subcutaneous route is the only approved method in the U.S.; sublingual route currently is not approved by FDA. – Sublingual immunotherapy used outside of US, but with higher doses (10- 500 x subcutaneous IT) may make treatment cost prohibitive. Further studies required before approved in US.
