Guidelines for Treatment
• Assessment TO BE PERFORMED
AT THE TIME OF ADMINISTRATION
OF EPINEPHRINE.
– Remove or discontinue of inciting agent (Infusion, stinger, etc.)
– Examine upper/lower airway patency, secure airway
– Place patient in recumbent position and elevate his/her legs
– Monitor vital signs (P, BP, RR)
– Monitor level of consciousness/mentation
