8. PowerVision file types
The 805 and 806 power analyzers to save a wide variety of data that can be analyzed using the
PowerVision software. The file extension for Powervision files is .STD. Contact technical support if
you analyzer is saving alternative file types.
.STD:
Model 805 and 806 files
The special analysis capabilities are described in the following sections of this instruction manual.
9.1 STD files
These files captured the standard power and energy data and harmonic distortion to either the 30 th or
50 th harmonic. The additional analysis capabilities are enabled for the harmonic data within the file.
Tables
The software has the capabilities of creating tables for the voltage and current harmonics for each
phase.
Select a phase harmonics table from the table viewer. (See section 6.1 for more info on opening a
table)
The phase harmonics table gives the user the RMS for both current and voltage and displays the
harmonic distortion both in its amplitude (in %THD) and its disphase (in degrees). The harmonic
distortion information is then broken down into the individual harmonic to either the 30 th or 50 th .
