Juices. Austria is a fruit paradise. Some one hundred million apples are harvested annually<br />
on the Styrian Apple Road alone. Every year many guests travel to this area to enjoy the sight of<br />
trees laden with ripe fruit and to sample their delicious juice. But cloudy and clear apple juice<br />
are just two of the many varieties of fruit juices available here: apricots, redcurrants, cherries,<br />
Allow yourself to be captivated by Linz. The Upper Austrian capital is<br />
a diverse and modern metropolis with outstanding cultural events<br />
held throughout the year. The Lentos Art Museum (www.lentos.at),<br />
situated directly on the Danube, shows art of the 20th century, while<br />
in the Ars Electronica Center (www.aec.at) the future happens right in<br />
front of your eyes. Enjoy the wonderful views over the city from Linz’s<br />
Pöstlingberg, ride on the mountain railway with its Fairy-Tale World or<br />
visit the magnificent pilgrimage basilica. The historic city centre and<br />
the Baroque main square, with its many shops, quaint beer gardens<br />
and traditional coffeehouses, are the perfect place to while away an<br />
afternoon. And don’t miss sampling the original Linzer Torte, a tasty<br />
local speciality and a popular souvenir!<br />
