Also concerned with crossing borders and bringing nations together is the “Linz Europa Tour”: aboard a ship converted into a concert stage, musicians and the “cultural ambassador”, Austrian singer Hubert von Goisern, travel from Linz downriver through Central and Eastern Europe to the Black Sea, giving concerts in over 20 cities – together with musicians taken aboard along the way. The big final celebration will take place back in Linz in summer 09: a festival extending over several days will unite the artists of this two-year tour for a mega-concert. 29 May to 13 Jul. 08: “Kunst in die Stadt – Tiefenrausch”,www.ok-zentrum.at; 22 to 27 Apr. 08: Crossing Europe, www.crossingeurope.at; summer 2009: final celebration of the “Tour West”, www.linz09.at 6 5
