(c)<br />
an employee who works on such paid holiday may request to take a day off with<br />
pay in lieu of <strong>the</strong> day provided for in Section 21.01. The request must be made<br />
prior to <strong>the</strong> paid holiday and if granted, <strong>the</strong> day off is to be taken at a time<br />
agreeable to Management.<br />
21.04 An employee who is required to work on a holiday upon which he was not scheduled to<br />
work, shall receive in addition to <strong>the</strong> pay provided in Section 21.01, double his wage rate<br />
for all hours worked on <strong>the</strong> paid holiday.<br />
21.05 If a paid holiday is observed during an employee’s vacation, such employee shall be<br />
given ano<strong>the</strong>r day’s vacation with pay.<br />
21.06 When any one of <strong>the</strong> above-noted holidays occur on an eligible employee’s scheduled<br />
day off, <strong>the</strong> employee may on request receive ano<strong>the</strong>r day off with pay at a time mutually<br />
agreed upon between <strong>the</strong> employee and <strong>the</strong> Corporation, o<strong>the</strong>rwise he will receive a<br />
day’s pay in lieu <strong>the</strong>reof.<br />
Article 22 - Shift Premiums<br />
22.01 Employees working on shifts o<strong>the</strong>r than a normal day shift shall receive a shift premium<br />
of 65 cents per hour for all hours worked. A normal day shift shall be defined as a shift<br />
commencing between <strong>the</strong> hours 6:00 am to 9:59 am.<br />
Article 23 - Transfers<br />
23.01 An employee who is temporarily transferred from his classification:<br />
(a)<br />
(b)<br />
if <strong>the</strong> rate of his new classification is higher than that of his classification, shall<br />
receive <strong>the</strong> rate of <strong>the</strong> new classification, after working in it for one (1) hour.<br />
if <strong>the</strong> rate of his new classification is lower than that of his classification, he shall<br />
receive <strong>the</strong> rate of <strong>the</strong> new classification, unless <strong>the</strong> transfer is made by <strong>the</strong><br />
Corporation when work in his regular classification:<br />
(i)<br />
(ii)<br />
is being performed to which he is entitled on <strong>the</strong> basis of his seniority, or<br />
has been temporarily cancelled by <strong>the</strong> Corporation due to a paid holiday<br />
or emergency situation, in which cases he shall receive <strong>the</strong> rate for his<br />
regular classification.
