Class of 1996
Anika (Tysinger) Garcia ’96 and her
husband, Aaron, were married in 2002.
They moved to Morristown, New
Jersey in 2007 and welcomed son,
Jayden Aaron, into the world on July 24,
2007. The family lived in New Jersey
until June 2008. They recently moved
back to California and live in Carlsbad.
Anika has enjoyed the last two years
off from work to be mommy.
Anne (Mares) Hesler ’96 was
married in 2001. She and her husband
have two little boys, Andre Diego
(three- years-old) and James Santiago
(one-year-old). Her husband is a
lawyer and she works as a special
education teacher. They live in
Spokane, Washington, where they
both attended Gonzaga University.
Brian Meihaus ’96 is a proud new
dad! He and his wife, Megan (Strader)
Meihaus ’97, welcomed their daughter,
Erin Mary, on July 30, 2008. For more

anesthesiologist at the University of
Chicago. The couple was married
in June of 2005 in Chicago and
had several SMCHS alumni in the
wedding party: Kelly Craig ’97,
Jimmy Pittenger ’98, Sean Lim ’95
and Steve Wagner ’96. They are still
dealing with Chicago winters, but
during the summer, they find that it’s
tough to beat everything Chicago
has to offer. Greg and Sara live in
Wicker Park and recently welcomed
their first child, Charles (Charlie)
Declan Pittenger in February 2008.
Daniel B. Rego ’96 received his Ph.D.
in Chemistry in June 2008 from UC
Irvine, while working under Professor
William J. Evans. His dissertation
was entitled: Lanthanide Reduction
Chemistry of the LnZ3 and LnZ2Z’
Reduction Systems and Related
Coordination Chemistry. He is
now in a Post-Doctoral position at
the Harry Reid Center at UNLV,
working on nuclear fuel synthesis.
Ryan Hart ’96 and his wife, Jackie,
welcomed their baby boy, Charles
(Charlie) Ryan Hart, on June 23, 2008.
Charlie weighed 6 lbs. 13 ounces
and 17-3/4 inches long. He was
born at Hoag Hospital in Newport
Beach. Jackie and Ryan say, “He
is our little miracle boy!”
Greg Pittenger ’96 is working
for JPMorgan Institutional Asset
Management as a Vice President
of Sales. His wife, Sara, is an
Tracy (Moody) Skenandore ’96 and
her husband, Mike, recently welcomed
their first child, Aubrey Anna. Tracy and
Mike live in Herderson, Nevada. Tracy
and her sister, Travis (Moody) Azous
’93, delivered their babies on July 3,
2008. The baby girls were born within
one and a half hours of each other.
