WINGS | 2009<br />

Ashlee Riddle ’03 graduated from<br />

Loyola Marymount University from<br />

the College of Science and Engineering<br />

on May 5, 2007. She received<br />

her Bachelor of Science degree<br />

in Biology and is currently doing a<br />

pharmacy internship this summer<br />

and fall. She is planning to attend<br />

Pharmacy school in fall of 2008.<br />

Bianca A. Solé Almodóvar ’03 earned<br />

a Liberal Studies Associate in Arts<br />

degree from Fullerton College in May<br />

2007. Along with 48 students from<br />

Cypress and Fullerton Colleges, she<br />

spent her last semester in Barcelona<br />

as part of the study abroad program.<br />

While in Spain, Bianca traveled to<br />

Amsterdam, London, and to various<br />

cities in Germany and Italy. She came<br />

back with countless memories and with<br />

a boyfriend, David, who was also in the<br />

study abroad program. This fall quarter<br />

Bianca transferred into the Television,<br />

Film and Media Studies major (option<br />

in Broadcast Journalism) at California<br />

State University, Los Angeles as a junior.<br />

Greg Weiler ’03 graduated from<br />

Loyola Marymount University in May<br />

2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in<br />

Classical Studies, which consists of the<br />

study of the Latin and Ancient Greek<br />

languages, two subjects he studied<br />

at <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Margarita</strong>. After graduation,<br />

Greg chose to advance in his studying<br />

of Jiu-Jitsu, an art he has been learning<br />

for eight years, by moving to Japan<br />

to further his craft. He was recently<br />

featured in Black Belt Magazine and<br />

was seen in multiple martial arts<br />

tournaments both in the United<br />

States and Japan as a contestant, as<br />

well as a coach. He currently resides<br />

on the island of Kyushu with his<br />

fiancée, Machiko, where he teaches<br />

English and Latin, as well as Jiu-Jitsu,<br />

to Japanese and exchange students.<br />

Class of 2004<br />

Megan (Bartel) Shaffer ’04 recently<br />

graduated Cum Laude from The<br />

Franciscan University of Steubenville<br />

in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts<br />

degree in Catechetics. This August<br />

she will be working at Holy Family<br />

<strong>Catholic</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> in Glendale as<br />

a religion teacher. For more exciting<br />

Kristin (Torok) Ellsworth ‘04 married<br />

Second Lieutenant Evan Ellsworth,<br />

an officer of the US Army, on May<br />

31, 2008. Kristin graduated from<br />

Wheaton College with a degree in<br />

Political Science. She interned in the<br />

White House for First Lady Laura<br />

Bush in the fall of 2007, and will<br />

begin law school in the fall of 2009.<br />
