Elisa (Huefner) King ’98 married
Jeremy King on July 7, 2007 at
Marbella Country Club in San Juan
Capistrano, California. Their reception
was on the terrace at the country
club. Elisa met Jeremy through a
sorority sister from college and had
met him four times over five years
before they started dating! Elisa’s
best friend, Allie (Moffatt) Brennan
’98, was the matron of honor at her
wedding. Also from her class, Jessica
(Casper) Capek ’98 and Amanda
Strindberg ’98 were readers in the
ceremony. There were about 20 other
good friends of Elisa’s from Class of
1998 in attendance! Elisa and Jeremy
honeymooned in Punta Mita and
Zihuatanejo, Mexico for two weeks.
They currently live in San Francisco,
where Jeremy sells residential real
estate in Sonoma County and Elisa is a
high school English & Reading teacher.
Jimmie Lopez ’98 and Brandi
(Morales) Lopez ’98 recently
welcomed a new baby girl! Olivia
Lynn was born on January 16, 2008 at
Mission Hospital. Olivia and their son,
J.T., are having lots of fun together and
especially love play dates with their best
friends Tanner, Tucker, and Taylor Burke!
Denise Shumway ’98 graduated from
Columbia Business School with an
MBA in Marketing and Management.
While in school, she pursued her
passion for wine, serving as a Co-
President of the Wine Society and
by taking outside classes to earn the
WSET Intermediate and Advanced
Certificates in Wine & Spirits. She
now works as a Marketing Manager
at Kobrand, a privately-held importer/
marketer of fine wines. Denise lives
in New York City with her boyfriend
of five years, cellist Alistair MacRae.
Jared Barker ’99 and Michelle
Barker ’00 welcomed twin boys,
Brady William and Logan John, to
their family on March 28, 2008. Both
Jared and Michelle were thrilled to
be blessed with two babies at once.
Jared currently works as a sales
representative. Michelle is a special
education teacher in the Saddleback
Valley Unified School District. The
family lives in Ladera Ranch.
