interactive cable control tower<br />

There are almost 80 Heegecable<br />

control towers worldwide,<br />

so it’s no wonder that<br />

they continue to be produced<br />

unchanged since 1995, and<br />

carry on being erected with<br />

new types of themes. And now<br />

– there is a further development<br />

of this bestseller: the<br />

interactive Upgrade-Kit from<br />

Smartrides/Lagotronics.<br />

The very first cable control tower manufactured<br />

by Heege, and simultaneously the first tower in<br />

coloured pencil design is located at the German<br />

Potts <strong>Park</strong> near Minden. And this tower has<br />

become the world’s first interactive cable control<br />

attraction this season.<br />

The idea came from Ralf Caspar, long-term Sales<br />

Manager with Heege, who contacted the Dutch<br />

manufacturer Lagotronics last year. The so-called<br />

“Lagotrics” system has already been proven on<br />

various ride constructions already, among them<br />

“Atlantis” at Europa-<strong>Park</strong>. Lagotronics was not<br />

reluctant to install its system on the tower, and so<br />

the utilization possibilities shown here came into<br />

being. The many attractions designed as a light<br />
