Sam Simpson is a Chartered Marketer, holds a Ph.D. from research into
consumer behaviour and is a Market Research Society trained researcher.
Before forming Clear Direction Ltd in 2002, he held senior marketing
positions in the following sectors:
• Newspaper and Online Publishing – responsible for marketing, sales,
distribution, internet services and reader holidays; increased newspaper
sales by 25% in a market that declined by 25%; started two new
business units.
• Construction – group marketing manager for a multi-site business.
• Food – marketing manager in meat and dairy sectors in Ireland and the
Middle East.
