I am a Marketing Consultant specialising in the provision of marketing<br />
services to Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) Food companies. Have been<br />
self employed as a Marketing Consultant since 2001.<br />
Over the years, have been retained as a Mentor and Consultant by:<br />
- UCC Food Training Unit, University College Cork.<br />
- CIT Rubicon Innovation Centre, CIT Cork.<br />
- City/County Enterprise Boards.<br />
- InterTrade Ireland.<br />
- PLATO Ireland.<br />
Providing services and support to Food SMEs throughout Ireland.<br />
In addition, am in the early stages of developing a new initiative (in<br />
conjunction with a Chinese / Irish company) namely -Exporting Food<br />
Products to China.<br />
• My qualifications are as follows:<br />
- Dairy & Food Science – BSc Dy (UCC)<br />
- Marketing Graduate Diploma from Marketing Institute - MMII Grad<br />
(CIT)<br />
- Masters in Marketing from Ml. Smurfit School UCD - MSc Mkting.<br />
(UCD)<br />
• Has been employed as a Marketing Specialist (Proscon –2000 & 01),<br />
Group Marketing Manager (Punch Industries- 1999 & 00) and Technology<br />
Marketing Manager (Teagasc -Dairy products Research Centre – 2001<br />
to 03). ….…all companies in the Dairy, Food, Pharmaceutical and/or<br />
R&D sectors.<br />
• Have also previously spent over 15 years in marketing roles with<br />
Dairygold Co-Operative.<br />
(Fresh Dairy – 1985 to 1999).<br />
I have carried out a programme of work on behalf of Teagasc that involved<br />
securing EU funds for research within the National Dairy Products Research<br />
centre. At Teagasc have also developed various marketing initiatives<br />
to encourage local, national & international food companies to engage<br />
in active Research & Development and linking emerging research to the<br />
commercialization of new product opportunities.
