5.10 Replacement Parts Replacement parts are available from Teledyne <strong>Isco</strong>. Contact<br />
Teledyne <strong>Isco</strong>’s Customer Service Department for ordering information.<br />
A listing of replacement parts is contained in Appendix A of this<br />
manual.<br />
5.11 Software Updates Teledyne <strong>Isco</strong> believes in continually improving its product and<br />
at times will release updated versions of software.<br />
The <strong>Glacier</strong> uses flash memory to store its software. With flash<br />
technology you can upgrade your sampler’s software without<br />
sending it back to the factory or replacing a chip.<br />
The software is updated by transferring a binary file (.BIN) from<br />
a PC to the <strong>Glacier</strong>. This requires the new binary file, a<br />
PC-to-GLS/<strong>Glacier</strong> connect cable <strong>Isco</strong> P/N 60-2954-021), and a<br />
program running on your PC. Teledyne <strong>Isco</strong> has two software<br />
programs that may be used to update the instrument software—<br />
Update Software (shipped with Flowlink 4 for Windows), and<br />
Flash Update.<br />
Note<br />
When connecting to the <strong>Glacier</strong>, a baud rate of 19,200 is recommended.<br />
