Local Shopping Parade 24 (23
in Submission version) has
been extended.
The Submission version of the
policy requires a high standard
of residential accommodation
in all cases and specifically
refers to this in reference to
conversions from retail to
residential, where this would
be an appropriate change of
use.
DM 41 - Shop fronts
Some objections to restrictions
on signage design and
requirement for active
frontages.
Upper Street Association
supported restriction of
internally-illuminated box signs,
particularly in relation to
heritage assets.
The Submission version of this
policy is more flexibly worded
with regards to window
displays/active frontages. The
objections and support to the
restrictions are both noted.
