Minimum entry requirements:<br />
Applicants must have completed a<br />
full-time relevant course <strong>of</strong> at least<br />
2-3 years duration in the area <strong>of</strong><br />
Horticulture.<br />
Applicants must have at least 3 years<br />
continuous work experience in the<br />
Horticulture industry and must remain<br />
in employment in the industry for the<br />
duration <strong>of</strong> the course.<br />
Each applicant must provide a letter<br />
<strong>of</strong> recommendation and support from<br />
their employer.<br />
Schedule: Monday 6pm – 10pm,<br />
Tuesday 6pm – 10pm,<br />
3 week block release per semester,<br />
on-line via Moodle<br />
Fee: €2,400 per year<br />
Duration: 1 years part-time<br />
WHO SHOULD APPLY?<br />
Entry to year 3 <strong>of</strong> this course is restricted<br />
to applicants who would already have<br />
completed a relevant full-time course <strong>of</strong><br />
at least 2-3 years duration in the area <strong>of</strong><br />
Horticulture e.g. Diploma in Commercial/<br />
Amenity Horticulture.<br />
COURSE CONTENT and STRUCTURE<br />
The programme is delivered in a blended<br />
mode with a combination <strong>of</strong> block<br />
release weeks from employment, on-line<br />
learning and evening classes. Students<br />
complete the course over the period from<br />
September to May. Block release generally<br />
occurs in the period October – March.<br />
