Speakers Biographies<br />
Dr Matthias Seidel, FRANZCOG (2003) Frauenarzt (Germany 1998), works in Tauranga as Obstetrician<br />
and Gynaecologist at the Public Hospital and in Private Practice. His training and early consultancy years<br />
included holistic conservative treatments and a patient centered approach.<br />

Dr Anil Sharma<br />
Anil Sharma was brought up in London and went to medical school in Leicester. Having visited New<br />
Zealand in 1993 for a year (Wellington), he couldn’t let go of the place and emigrated in 2001 with his<br />
<strong>GP</strong> wife.<br />
They have had 3 Kiwi daughters and live in central Auckland. His main interests are Urogynaecology and<br />
the management of heavy menstrual bleeding (particularly with effective minimal access therapies).<br />
He also writes for a number of magazines and is passionate about use of the media for educational<br />
purposes.<br />
He enjoys the outdoors with his family whenever he can and has had a new lease of life after relinquishing<br />
private obstetrics.<br />
