Appendix C - Managing our Performance in 2010-13
The department uses a number of tools and methodologies for managing, monitoring, reviewing and improving
performance. This consists of Lambeth Council’s Corporate Performance Framework, a departmental
performance framework underpinned by Departmental and Divisional Performance Digests, key performance
indicators and targets including Lambeth First’s Local Area Agreement (LAA). The CYPS is also accountable
for its performance to the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership. The department also receives
external challenge from Ofsted, with their themed inspections and scheduled and unannounced inspections, the
Audit Commission, with the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) as well as internal and external audits.
Our key performance indicators and the strategic priorities that they relate to are shown in the table below.
