have had a willingness to do that.<br />
And I am very, very encouraged that under Chairman<br />
Macfarlane's leadership we can revitalize some of the opportunities to<br />
provide an opportunity to come to a Commission office as a<br />
developmental opportunity for the staff here. I think that under her<br />
leadership I am confident that we can maybe make that opportunity and<br />
program a little more vibrant than it has been in the last few years.<br />
So, with that, I will turn it back over to you, Chairman.<br />

thank all of you for coming today. And most importantly, I would like to<br />
thank you for the important work that you do day-in and day-out.<br />
In the year since the last All <strong>Employee</strong> <strong>Meeting</strong>, the<br />
staff has supported the Commission on many important policy matters,<br />
such as the Waste Confidence Policy Statement, post-Fukushima<br />
requirements for containment vents, and many others.<br />
I know that between the federal lack of any pay raise in<br />
recent years and the negative comments you often hear in the media<br />
about government employees, you may sometimes feel like your work<br />
is not appreciated. I want to let you know that you are appreciated by<br />
this Commissioner every single day.<br />
The Chairman and Commissioner Svinicki mentioned<br />
that this is Bill Borchardt's last day today. And I look over there where<br />
he is sitting, and I see empty chairs around him.<br />
