Provision during the morning slot (0930-1159) more than halved from 105 hours in 1996 to 42 hours in 2001. Over the same period, output during the early afternoon slot (1200-1529) increased as the start of the after-school slot moved from 1530 to 1525 in 1999 and then 1520 in 2000, allowing for more programming targeted at the very young. 18 What Children Watch
