2.2.2 Project email<br />

Community members and stakeholders were invited to provide their comments on the concept design via the<br />

project email address: info@westconnex.com.au<br />

2.2.3 Online ‘Have your Say’ forms and subscribe for updates<br />

An online feedback form was available for community members to submit their comments and feedback on<br />

the <strong>M4</strong> <strong>East</strong> concept design. A separate online form was made available for people to register their interest<br />

in receiving updates on the project.<br />

2.2.4 Stakeholder meetings<br />

More than 15 meetings have been held with industry, government departments and agencies, businesses<br />

and local service providers within the <strong>M4</strong> <strong>East</strong> corridor.<br />

2.2.5 Individual property<br />

In addition to the consultation on the concept<br />

design, project team members have met with more<br />

than 85 property owners and nearby neighbours to<br />

discuss the potential impact of the project on<br />

individual properties and explain the property<br />

acquisition process. Questions were answered on<br />

the concept design and concerns were recorded<br />

about potential project impacts during construction<br />

and operation.<br />

2.2.6 Community information sessions<br />

The community was invited to drop in and speak with project team members during seven community<br />

information sessions held during December 2013 and February 2014. The purpose of these sessions was to<br />

hear ideas and concerns from the community about the concept design, respond to questions and provide<br />

further information on the planning and design process following this early consultation period. Up to 12<br />

project team members were available at the information sessions from a range of technical backgrounds<br />

including road design, tunnel and ventilation design, environment, traffic and transport planning, urban<br />

revitalisation, procurement, project management and communications. Table 2 outlines where and when<br />

each of the community sessions were held and the approximate number of people who attended each<br />

session.<br />
