8 Genl. Gates, Nixon, Morrice <strong>and</strong> others d<strong>in</strong>d with me. a Battoe taken by ye galleys.<br />
9 rode to Tarry Town <strong>in</strong> the Morg & back to Camp & at evn<strong>in</strong>g rode back to Tarytown & to Croton ferry.<br />
10 rode to K<strong>in</strong>gs ferry to peeks kill to Crompon to Northcastle 160 d<strong>in</strong>d at Benja. Kipp to Head Quarters. a Frigate of 36 guns & 2 Row<br />
galleys went up to K<strong>in</strong>gs ferry, 2 cannon went up to K. ferry.<br />
