The catalyst and powerhouse behind the growth of Orascom
Development’s activities - El Gouna - started with a man’s search
for a perfect spot on the seaside. Over the course of 20 years,
the barren spot nourished, demand increased, and the community
grew into a fully fledged town.
With jobs on offer in the areas of construction, hospitality, service
and infrastructure management, El Gouna turned into a microeconomy.
Growing the critical mass to over 22,000 permanent
