Injury Control Photo Bank
Background
Goal
The ACICR partners and community stakeholders in injury prevention and
control all share a need for appropriate imagery to enhance their education and
communication pieces. The ACICR has responded to this need by developing an
online photo bank containing images of various injury-related topics. Photos
were commissioned by ACICR and depict safe use of safety equipment and
other context specific images. These images are now available online. There is
no cost for this service but partners and stakeholders are asked to site the
ACICR website as the source when using these photos.
ACICR partners and stakeholders will have easy access to photos that meet
their injury prevention and control communications needs.
Objectives 1. Photos will be easy to access.
2. There will be no charge to access and use the photos.
3. Photos will depict appropriate injury related images (e.g. child passenger
restraints being properly used).
4. Stakeholders will find the photos valuable.

The photo bank was launched on the ACICR website in March, 2007. The
number of hits to this page is now being tracked. New photos will be added as
required.
