climbable objects that can be placed near<br />
barriers, specially if the barriers are more<br />
difficult to climb. When the barriers are easy to<br />
climb the surveillance must be strengthened but<br />
the children will not need to have any extra help<br />
to climb them if they want to. Boxes, chairs,<br />
other pieces <strong>of</strong> furniture, or even friends can<br />
act as action encouragement devices or enablers<br />
(see Fig. 10).<br />
