4.3.2 Relationship between morphological<br />
variables <strong>and</strong> time to cross different barriers<br />
Some individual characteristics <strong>of</strong> the children,<br />
such as age, body dimensions <strong>and</strong> strength,<br />
influence their ability to climb. It would be<br />
expected that older, taller <strong>and</strong> stronger children<br />
took less time to cross most barriers than<br />
younger, shorter <strong>and</strong> weaker children. In order<br />
to verify this assumption, we analysed the<br />
correlations between those characteristics <strong>and</strong><br />
time to cross different barriers (see Table 18).<br />
