Plan in . Response to the DOE Phase I<br />
Independent Investigation ofihe. Paducah<br />
Gaseous Diffusion Plant (BJC/OR-4531R1),<br />
temporary radiological postings were installed at<br />
several locations during the week of October 18,<br />
1999. (These 'h~ve since been replaced with<br />
permanent postings.) The postings, warn of<br />
various radiological contami~ation . areas both<br />
inside and outside the PGpI> securitY fence.<br />
Postings were placed only in those areas on DOE<br />
property where data existwpich indica~e<br />
contamination at levels above the 10 CPR 835<br />
requirements. Posting locations outside the<br />
pODP security fence include: the North-South<br />
Diversion Ditch from the plant security fence· to<br />
KY 358 (Ogden Landing Road); KPDES Outfall<br />
Ditch 01 1:; Little Bayou Creek and, iiIstitutional<br />
controls near KY 358; Little Bayou Creek and<br />
institutional controls near McCaw Road; KPDES<br />
Outfall 015; and several WAG 17 rubble piles<br />
(BIC 2000a).<br />
