There is high variation in <strong>the</strong> mean value <strong>of</strong> credits obtained (Table 53). The mean value ranged form<br />
Tsh 5,000 in South flood plain to 370,000 in <strong>Delta</strong> north. There is no significant difference among <strong>the</strong><br />
AEZ with respect to <strong>the</strong> monetary value <strong>of</strong> credits received (F=2.41 p=0.106).<br />

It is concluded, <strong>the</strong>re are credit constrains in <strong>the</strong> survey area. Formal credits from banks <strong>and</strong><br />
o<strong>the</strong>r financial institutions are not available in <strong>Rufiji</strong> <strong>Delta</strong> <strong>and</strong> flood plains. Yet, <strong>the</strong> villagers<br />
are complaining <strong>of</strong> low capital availability in all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir economic activities.<br />
