Primary Summer Concert
Proud parents packed into the Main Hall at GIS for the Primary Summer Concert on June
17.
Our Primary Summer Concert was a wonderful showcase of all the specialist classes that
we have in Primary.
The Year 5 and 6 Thai students started us off with Rao Ruk Nai-Laung (เรารักในหลวง )
followed by our youngest Year 1 and 2 Thai students welcoming us with their song
Sawasdee.
All the Year 1s then treated us to a song about ‘When A Dinosaur’s Feeling Hungry’. They
even wrote a special verse themselves about 'When Mrs Gordon's Feeling Hungry' which
was very funny.
Our Year 3s took to the stage next with ‘The Mummy Song’. They made up all the actions
and choreographed the song in their Drama class with Mr Ken when studying Ancient
Egypt. Did you know the Ancient Egyptian pulled out dead people's brains through their
nose with a wire? The Year 3s do.
Year 4s showed us their talent at part-singing with a lovely rendition of the ‘Rhythm of Life’
followed by a video from the ELS department showing off how multilingual all our students
are. They read the ‘Gingerbread Man’ in over 12 different languages!
