Sports Awards’ Evening<br />
The very first Sports Awards’ Evening on June 5 proved to be a great success with more<br />
than 125 people attending. Parents, students and coaches united in recognising our<br />
student athletes’ performances over the school year.<br />
The evening started with a dinner buffet, followed by an audio visual presentation of the<br />
athletes in action.<br />
Each coach presented their team with certificates for participation. Extra certificates were<br />
given to the Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player and there was also a Fair Play<br />
Award for each team.<br />
As a finale to the evening, four trophies were presented to<br />
four athletes:<br />
1. Students’ Player of the Year (Primary and Secondary)<br />
2. Coaches’ Player of the Year (Primary and Secondary)<br />
GIS Principal Dr Tasker awarded the trophies to:<br />
Primary Students’ Player of the Year: Nicholas Kantajan<br />
Primary Coaches’ Player of the Year: Jessica Chilver<br />
Secondary Students’ Player of the Year: Chung Kwun Lee
