Service For a Smile
Kind-hearted students from GIS have raised more than 30,000
baht to help other children!
On June 9, there was a hot dog day that helped to raise money
for a charity called Operation Smile.
Operation Smile provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft
palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe.
On this hot dog day we raised 13,510 baht. That is more than enough to transform one
child’s life through surgery. There was loads of excitement and most of the students
participated.
Although that is not where the excitement stops! Other events included a mufti day on
June 16, which raised 13,680 baht, popcorn sales, which raised a further 480 baht and we
made a ‘Smile’ from coins on June 17, which raised 4,383 baht. You can see their efforts
below!
Because of all this amazing effort, we achieved our goal of raising 30,000 baht, which will
pay for 4 life-changing operations. Well done to everyone who helped!
