Mexican Restaurant Trip<br />

Students enjoyed a trip to a Mexican<br />
restaurant as part of their Spanish<br />
studies.<br />
The trip to Mike’s Restaurant in<br />
Jomtien was amazing and the food<br />
was good.<br />
For the Year 8s, 9s, and 10s we all<br />
had fun then, when we were done and<br />
full, we went back to school and we all<br />
just hung out with each other until the<br />
bell rang.<br />
Book Promotion<br />
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9<br />
participated in a Book Promotion on<br />
June 9. Choosing their two favourite<br />
books they've read independently this<br />
year, they created eye-catching poster<br />
boards and persuasive speeches in<br />
order to convince other students their<br />
books are 'must reads'. There are many<br />
Book Promotion posters on display in<br />
the library.<br />
Years 5 and 6 students came to listen<br />
and vote on which books they had been<br />
convinced to read. Voting was close but<br />
the books that got the most votes were:<br />
Year 7 - Chan P. "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold<br />
Year 8 - Engila K. "Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief" by<br />
Rick Riordan.
