Corals and Kayaking
School Trips
By Anjali
On June 11, the Year 8 students went on a day trip to Toey
Ngam Beach which is in Sattahip - and is also an army
beach!
Once we reached the beautiful beach a man explained to
us about corals and how they are planted into the sea.
After his explanation we
were able to plant living
corals into a block of
cement so it wouldn't
float and stay in the sea. Eight
lucky students were chosen to go out to sea
and put all our coral in the ocean.
Then we all went to have some snacks at the canteen
area. As soon as we finished our snacks we went towards
the beach and got ready to kayak! Kayaking was a lot of
fun but there were a lot of waves so it was also a bit
challenging.
We then went to have our lunch and then eat some ice
cream and after this we returned to the beach for some
'body surfing'! It was a great day and learnt many new
things about corals.
