1.06 COORDINATION<br />

A. Complete sleeve installation (not otherwise provided) in coordination with paving and other<br />

concrete pours.<br />

B. Coordinate to ensure that electrical power source is in place.<br />

C. Coordinate system installation with work specified in other Sections and coordinate with<br />

landscape installer to ensure plant material is uniformly watered in accordance with intent<br />

shown on Plans.<br />

1.07 WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE<br />

A. Extend to Owner any warranties and guarantees provided by manufacturer <strong>of</strong> equipment<br />

used.<br />

B. Warranty materials and workmanship for a minimum <strong>of</strong> two years after final acceptance.<br />

C. Include repair <strong>of</strong> backfill settlement, packing the earth firmly around the heads, quick<br />

couplers, and valve boxes.<br />

D. Limit warranty to repair and replacement <strong>of</strong> defective materials or workmanship, including<br />

repair <strong>of</strong> backfill settlement.<br />

1.08 CONNECTION TO DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY<br />

A. Complete connection to water supply in accordance with governing codes and regulations.<br />

B. Provide and pay for any required permits.<br />

PART 2 - PRODUCTS<br />

2.01 DEFINITIONS<br />

A. Sprinkler Mains: Piping from water source to operating valves. Hydrant lines and quick<br />

coupling valves (QCV) are considered sprinkler mains.<br />

B. Lateral Piping: Piping from operating valves to sprinkler heads.<br />

2.02 POLYVINYL CHLORIDE PIPE<br />

A. Polyvinyl Chloride Pipe (hereinafter referred to as PVC pipe) shall be manufactured in<br />

accordance with the product standards as follows:<br />

1. Mainline Piping-PVC, Schedule 40 - solvent weld joints<br />

2. Lateral Piping-PS-22-70, SDR-21, Class 200 - solvent-weld joints<br />

3. Marking and Identification: Permanently marked with the following information:<br />

manufacturer’s name, pipe size, type <strong>of</strong> pipe and material, SDR Number, Commercial<br />

Standard Number, and NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) Seal.<br />

4. Purple pipe required for all irrigation maintained by the <strong>City</strong> (medians, etc).<br />
