OKLAHOMA CITY—Notes on the TOO<br />
convention:<br />
Zella M. Geek, assistant treasurer of the<br />
TOO, was in charge of the registration desk.<br />
Assisting her were Fern Rice of Video and<br />
Catherine Clark of RKO. Mrs. Geek is with<br />
Ralph Talbot of Tulsa.<br />
Named to the nominating committee by<br />
the TOO board were Eddie Thorne. here;<br />
Ralph Drewry, Tulsa: Mrs. Elizabeth Tucker,<br />
Guthrie; Ray Hughes, Heavener, and Red<br />
Slocum, El Reno.<br />
Mrs. Lois LeBlanc, wife of the late George<br />
LeBlanc, was the hostess in the TOO hospitality<br />
booth. This booth served as an information<br />
center and was a delegate mecca<br />
during the convention. It was in the tradeshow<br />
room, courtesy of MGM. Metro had<br />
planned to bring here its exhibit shown at the<br />
TOA meet in Chicago, but later decided to<br />
turn that area to TOO for the hospitality<br />
booth which had been crowded out because<br />
of last-minute need for space by the E. W.<br />
Tune Co. and Keevil Brokerage of Oklahoma<br />
City.<br />
Another last-minute exhibitor was the<br />
Chili Cone Co., Kansas City. The two displays,<br />
including Hypower chili cones, candies<br />
and confections, cookies, cheese crackers, etc.,<br />
were very effective.<br />
prizes were given away at each of the events,<br />
both for trade sessions and ladies social<br />
affairs.<br />
Mickey Reynolds of KOMA and KWTV<br />
accompanied Russ Severin of KWTV when<br />
the latter entertained at the congressional<br />
luncheon with several vocal numbers. The<br />
Triple Co. sponsored this luncheon which was<br />
well received. The main table was beautifully<br />
decorated and the room was packed with interested<br />
exhibitors.<br />

of the convention. Named to assist him were<br />

Dumas, Tex.; Gordon Leonard and Ed Thorne,<br />
both of this city; Bob Walker, Broken Arrow,<br />
and Virby Conley, Perryton, Tex.<br />
The Alexander Film gang again had Room<br />
2100 for its Oasis of Good Cheer.<br />
R. R. McCoy of Edmond, new with W. R.<br />
Howell Theatre Supply Co., was on hand to<br />
man his company's exhibit.<br />
Mrs. Lil Lutzer of Dallas was one of the<br />
early arrivals, coming in Sunday, and so was<br />
her partner. Ship BuUard, Durant.<br />
Present at the TOO board meeting Sunday<br />
night at the Oklahoma club were Mr. and<br />
Mrs. Paul Stonum, Anadarko; Mr. and Mrs.<br />
H. D. Cox, Binger; Mr. and Mi-s. Pat McGee,<br />
Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Drewry, Tulsa;<br />

and Mrs. Red Slocum, El Reno; Mr. and Mrs.<br />

Mrs. John Frank of Oklahoma City played<br />
background music at the piano for the women's<br />
buffet luncheon and bingo party Monday<br />
in the Variety clubrooms. About 60 attended<br />
this social affair.<br />
Old Gold cigarets were distributed at the<br />
convention affairs. United Film Service donated<br />
$100 for door prizes and when Morris<br />
Loewenstein got through he had bought more<br />
than $200 in merchandise for the $100. Door
