Edgar E. Kirchner, reports that Ralph Boudreau,<br />
formerly of the Rio, now with the<br />
projection crew at the Family, succeeded the<br />
late Norbert Glaser. Teamed with him are<br />
Ernest Pickering and Herbert Friese. Gus<br />
Wetzel remains as sole operator at the Rio,<br />
which is no longer on a shift basis.<br />
Arvid Kantor, who formerly shared space<br />
with BOXOFFICE and at one time was chief<br />
barker of Detroit Variety Club, is now a<br />
director of the New York Variety tent . . .<br />
Moe Teitel and Harry Mitz have re-registered<br />
title to the Warfield Theatre . A.<br />
Funk is resuming active management of the<br />
Great Lakes Theatre, and in addition is serving<br />
as administrator for the estate of his<br />
father, the late Gustave W. Funk. The theatre<br />
is now being operated jointly by the<br />
estate and by Henry C. Funk, a brother<br />
the deceased, and Thomas Lancaster.<br />
Dillon M. "Dee" Krepps, manager of the<br />
United Artists, received a gold football as an<br />
early Christmas recognition from the national<br />
champions of professional football, the Detroit<br />
Lions. Krepps used to be a football player<br />
himself.<br />
