GOAL:<br />
This course is designed to enable tra<strong>in</strong>ees acquire adequate knowledge <strong>and</strong><br />
skills <strong>in</strong> the classification of wood jo<strong>in</strong>ts <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong> wood process<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
GENERAL OBJECTIVES: On completion of this course the students should be able to:-<br />
1.0 Know the procedures <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> timber preparation.<br />
2.0 Underst<strong>and</strong> the requirements of wood jo<strong>in</strong>ts <strong>and</strong> their classifications.<br />
3.0 Construct the various types of wood jo<strong>in</strong>ts.<br />
4.0 Know various fix<strong>in</strong>g devices used <strong>in</strong> <strong>Carpentry</strong> <strong>and</strong> Jo<strong>in</strong>ery.<br />
5.0 Construct Doors <strong>and</strong> frames.<br />
