Main Menu Options<br />
- The optical output (SPDIF) will carry 2-channel PCM Stereo (with Dolby Surround).<br />
- The SCART will carry Stereo (with Dolby Surround).<br />
2. Dolby Digital.<br />
Select this option if connecting to a Dolby Digital compatible TV/Amplifier, using a digital<br />
optical lead (SPDIF).<br />
- The optical output (SPDIF) will send Dolby Digital 5.1 (if supported).<br />
- The HDMI will carry Dolby Digital 5.1 if supported, otherwise it will carry 2-channel PCM<br />
Stereo (with Dolby Surround).<br />
- The SCART will carry Stereo (with Dolby Surround).<br />
3. Dolby Surround.<br />
Select this option if connecting to a TV/Amplifier that supports Dolby Surround Pro Logic,<br />
Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Pro Logic IIx or Dolby Pro Logic IIz decode.<br />
- All outputs will carry Stereo (with Dolby Surround).<br />
4. Stereo.<br />
Select this mode if connecting to a Stereo audio device.<br />
- All outputs will carry Stereo (without Dolby Surround).<br />
Audio Delay<br />
Allows you to delay the audio timing so that it synchronises with the TV picture. This allows for<br />
delays that may be introduced by some TVs.<br />
Dynamic Range Control<br />
The following options are available:<br />
1. Off mode .<br />
The sound output is as is intended by the programme being watched.<br />
2. TV mode.<br />
Default values of Cut and Boost are selected to both reduce high volume and increase low<br />
volume sound, relative to the main sound volume through your TV.<br />
3. On mode.<br />
Allows Cut and Boost values to be changed.<br />
Cut: Allows you to reduce high volume sounds such as explosions, relative to the main sound<br />
volume. The maximum reduction is 100.<br />
Boost: Allows you to increase low volume sounds such as speech or background sounds,<br />
relative to the main sound volume. The maximum increase is 100.<br />
Note:<br />
• These settings are only effective if supported by the broadcaster.<br />
